ClearBMI is a free BMI calculator with clear results, honest explanations and no sign-up.
Who builds it
ClearBMI is built by Xavier Savonet, a software developer, not a doctor or dietitian. The work here is to make every calculation exact and easy to use, and to explain the results in plain language. The explanations are based on official guidance from the CDC, the NIH, the WHO and the UK’s National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE).
What you can expect
- Exact math. The formulas, conversions and rounding are documented in our methodology and covered by automated checks.
- Sources, not opinions. Every explanation is based on public health guidance. Sources are listed on each article and on our methodology page.
- Privacy. Calculations run in your browser. There’s no account, and your measurements aren’t sent to us.
- No miracle products. We don’t sell or promote supplements, diets or weight-loss products.
